For more than 90 years the American Red Cross has had a presence in Northwest Mississippi, helping our community prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters. Since its founding in 1917, the local chapter has been working daily to help keep our neighbors healthy and safe.

The American Red Cross exists to preserve life and alleviate suffering. It is a place families can turn to for food, shelter and comfort when fires and other emergencies strike. Around the clock and every day of the year, the Red Cross is responding to local disasters, teaching first aid and CPR classes, collecting life-saving blood, serving as a life link for members of the military and their families, and helping communities near or far during times of crisis.
